We LOVE volunteers!
Occasional volunteer work that takes place in a highly public setting, with
constant supervision of a WCS employee (such as field days, book fairs,
PTO meetings and fundraising events) does not require an application or
background check.
Tier 3 Volunteers may participate in activities that involve unsupervised
contact with a student (such as chaperoning a field trip, escorting a child to
the nurse, watching a classroom, one-on-one tutoring, serving as “Room
Parent” etc.). This role requires a criminal background & fingerprint check
through WCS Human Resources Department.
Here’s how to sign up for Tier 3 approval:
Step 1: Make an appointment and get fingerprinted
- Visit this link for instructions
https://docs.wcs.edu/pdf/hr/Volunteer-Background-Check.pdf
Step 2: Submit the following form ONLY AFTER FINGERPRINTING IS
COMPLETE

Approved List. Please allow 3-5 weeks for your application and
fingerprints to process
