Who are you?
Thompson's Station Elementary School Parent-Teacher Organization (TSES PTO) is an organization of parents who have kids that go to TSES. The PTO provides support to, and facilities communication among, parents, teachers, students, administrators and the surrounding community.
TSES PTO is volunteer driven and has a non-profit 501 (c)3 classification with the IRS.
WHAT DO YOU DO?
- Fundraising. The PTO board establishes an annual budget and fundraising goal to assist the school and community in the various needs that cannot be met through district support. (I.E. Raise funds for sports fields' scoreboards)
- Community Engagement. The PTO will hold various events and send communications throughout the year to drive awareness of the school's needs and to engage the community.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
- The Board. The elected Executive Board is comprised of parents of existing TSES students. Committee chairs manage the various PTO functions.
- Membership. The membership of the PTO consists of all parents of existing TSES students. To join, register here.
I HAVE A STUDENT AT TSMS - DO I HAVE TO JOIN BOTH PTOs?
Though TSES PTO and TSMS PTO are organizations that collaborate to maximize the students' educational and extracurricular experience, they are two separate entities supporting different schools and their unique needs. As a result, we recommend you join both PTOs.
